CHALLENGE

Make an inclusive mural painting experience for students that have disabilities. (Blind, Partial Blindness)

SOLUTION

Thinking of the end audience and how they would interact with the artwork we developed a user experience that would allow any student with a disability to easily be engaged in the painting process. All the artwork was created and pre-cut into cardboard stencils. This allowed visually impaired students the ability to feel the edge of the stenciled artwork on the wall. This tactile experience gave each student the confidence to then paint the mural.
